I agree with everything you say here. As a Baby Boomer, I pray that the future left for Gen Z will be better than the prospects look right now. Most of my life, I was unaware that those with great wealth and/or power thought about the rest of us very much like Trump does. Trump feels, and is, way worse than past US presidents. Disregard for those with little influence is, in retrospect, part of the human condition. May we as a species do a bit better going forward.
You're so right: calling him TACO is an afront to his narcissism & could trigger him to do the wrong thing. We're dealing with a man who's delusional, egomaniacal, & probably experiencing dementia. The stakes are now too high to taunt him: Iran & Voting Rights are critical, notwithstanding what added noise he creates to deflect from the Epstein Files. It's vital that we carefully tighten the screws.
I really appreciated this post. You are right: we are often so caught up in our own fears that we forget to really consider the real life impacts on the other end of what Trump and the people around him are doing in the mideast (and elsewhere). I get tired of seeing photos of $5 gas, Every time I see one, I remember that was the price of gas in Europe when I was young. I needed really KNOW what is happening on the ground in places like Gaza and Iran. We do need to see the photos of our own resistance- that's important, But you are right about the failure of media- to show the whole story. I realized when I looked at your photos that I have seen very little about the damage in Iran. I have grandchildren who are just starting their lives as adults, and wonder what kind of future they will have. It's not just the war and the disruption in economies around the world and how that will impact what kind of jobs they will have. I do not understand just WHY we have a housing shortage. What other shortages will we have as climate change worens and the powerful continue to ignore it as a problem?

We can thank Iran for Ronald Reagan and the rise of the Radical Right.
It is far better.. to gather a group of nations and point our fingers together at the oppression there; far better, than the silly child like approach the current administration has taken!
I think you kind of missed the point the article is making. It would be good if you go back to read the opening so you understand it. And then read the rest of the article- it's well-worth it. It does ask us to inquire of ourselves what we think is actually going on. I had to spend some time thinking about that, and realized how little the media actually provides about what is happening at the other end of Trump's actions. To people very much like us.
